This benediction chorus for the season of Advent was written for Avon Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Avon, Indiana. Combining the tune of a familiar Christmas carol with Advent lyrics satisfied the desires of those who were eager to start singing Christmas carols already and of those who insisted upon being being liturgically correct.
